This page will help you with some common user issues.
Buyers
Never give out your password!
You must sign up to buy music or become friends with composer or artist choose free member!
When you buy you are paying the composer or artist directly.
Once you have signed up a activation link will be emailed to you, this could be in spam as well so check both, after activating you will return to site and log in to buy, you can listen without logging in.
Sellers
What is copyright, if the composer of the music has been deceased seventy years, it is out of copyright you can do whatever you want with the music and sell it.

You can load just MP3 or sheet music or both.
First sign up page choose paying member, next page type LIFETIMER in the promo code box .
In order to upload a music file to Youknewmusic it must be formatted in the mp3 file format.
1. Sign up as paying member, the site only accepts pay pal, you will need to set up a pay pal account of your own to receive payments from buyers, however if you wish to give yourMP3 and sheet music away you can wait on the Pay Pal account, you will still need to put email address in the pay pal field, when you run out of free uploads you will need Pay Pal account to pay YKM. (email address needs to be the same for pay pal and YKM, at that time you can decide if you want to also accept credit cards, and all of your transactions on YKM will be displayed at pay pal, your pay pal info is all on their site YKM has no access to it.
2. Once you have signed up an activation link will be emailed to you, this could be in spam as well so check both, after activating you will return to site and log in, Once you have paid you will return to your home page if free lifetimer you will need not pay until you use free uploads, fill out profile and upload an image if you like, these two features can be edited at any time
3. Log in then click songs at the top.
4. Next add new score, remember you only have five free uploads, YKM recommends if you upload a large piece with more than one movement load them separately, edit piece at any time.
5. Fill out info of score if the piece is electronic YKM recommends you type electronic in the artist box.
6. Load MP3 in if you don’t have MP3’s or don’t know how to convert files (see convert on help page) load image for piece in edit songs.
7. Load pdf sheet music in score path and preview score if you have sheet music, this should only be one page of the score , also load full pdf file of the score( see PDF on help page)
8. Set price for MP3 and pdf file of sheet music, you can charge what you want or enter zero for free.
9. Click share score only if you wish to participate in this feature, (see share score on help page).
10. Double check all info and click save, when you use up the five free refill account we have 3 prices to choose from.

Convert file to PDF
Using CutePDF Writer to create PDF document:

DO NOT look for any application to run. Just print your document using CutePDF Writer (the printer) to get PDF output.

1. Open your original document and select Print command in File menu of your application to bring up Print dialog box.
2. Then select CutePDF Writer as the Printer to print (DO NOT select "Print to file" option).
3. You will get a Save As dialog box prompted for saving created PDF file.
Select a folder to Save in and enter a File name, then click on Save.
4. Go to that folder to find your PDF file.

Convert wav, files to MP3
Some players on your PC will convert wav. Files to MP3 you can click the advanced tab at the top, from there you can change the player to convert, windows media player does not.

is thus, the piece known as will be played and recorded, and on completion of the recording a copy will be given to the composer, copyright holder, in turn the ensemble or musician will retain the right to public perform or sell copies of the recorded piece, but shall have to credit the creator., and will not have to pay royalties to the creator owner etc..
However the owner could have an agreement with several ensembles, musicians for the same piece, unless some other agreement is reached to have exclusive rights on the sale of the recording.
But no matter what agreement is reached the creator, owner, will always retain the right to sell any of the recordings and have exclusive right on the sale of the sheet music, without paying royalties to anyone that has made a recording

If you see a piece that you would be interested in and if the composer has the piece in share score, email the composer to come up with a agreement, then you can copy and paste the document above or make up one of your own.
